Inspired by the unique building skills of the satin bowerbird, native to the dense forests of Australia, our creative studio developed a branding concept for a construction company that reflects the balance of creativity and technical expertise.
The mascot, in the form of a bird known for its intricate and aesthetically appealing nests, became the symbol of the brand, emphasizing attention to detail and the pursuit of perfect form and craftsmanship.
One of the key components of branding is color monochrome. We deliberately chose to use just one primary color — rich blue. This decision instantly sets the brand apart from its competitors, creating a unique and memorable visual impression. The clean blue color symbolizes innovation and precision, making the brand recognizable amidst the more colorful solutions of others.
Additionally, the second source of inspiration was the aesthetic of engineering and architectural blueprints. These blue & white drawings align perfectly with the colors of our mascot. This fortunate convergence allowed us to merge natural elements with engineering precision in the branding, highlighting both the creative and technical aspects of the company.
A distinctive design choice is the use of a stencil font. This selection instantly adds a sense of technicality and reinforces the construction aesthetic. The stencil font effectively conveys the spirit of engineering craftsmanship, and its practicality makes it ideal for use across various external media.
Originally created for ease of marking in construction and production, the stencil typeface underscores the company’s technical focus and commitment to precision.
